Huddersfield Horizon SCITT is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. 

Appointment to trainee places will be subject to the safer recruitment guidelines and the following pre-employment checks:

• ID checks
• Qualification checks
• Right to work in UK checks
• DBS checks
• Childcare disqualification checks
• Disqualification by association checks
• Fitness to teach assessment

Please note that a DBS check is mandatory condition of your place and will identify any convictions, reprimands, cautions and bind overs even if these are considered spent under the rehabilitation of offenders act.
