Our Courses

Our trainees are placed in their main host school on the first day of the academic year so that they can experience a full academic cycle whilst feeling included and part of the school's staff team from the beginning.

As a trainee you will be in your main host school for 4 out of 5 days per week, on your 5th day you will attend core trainings sessions at our SCITT training and development centre in Elland. in addition to your days based in your main host school, you will attend phase/subject specific days throughout the academic year. These phase/subject specific days will focus on pedagogy and the explicit teaching of your chosen phase or subject.

You will also experience a second teaching placement for a half-term within your training at a contrasting school to provide you the most rounded experience.
